BREAKING: Tesco Grocery app for Nokia now live to customers on OVI store

I've just been informed within the last 10 minutes that our Nokia grocery home shopping application for Nokia S60-series phones is now live for download by customers from the Nokia OVI store.

If you have a Nokia phone model 800, N97, N97 mini, X6, 5230 or 5530 then you're all set:
Download and enjoy!

  1. Hmm, can't see it on Ovi Store yet. Is it still pending? Also, what it it called and can you provide a link to the Ovi Store web page when it does go live.

  2. Hi Nick
Great work. I have a couple of questions that I hope you can answer. Has the App for the S60 devices been created using Flash? if so presumably FL3.0 (hence the small range of Nokia's)
Secondly, whilst I appreciate your comments about the wider audience not having iPhone, the latest figures I have from Commscore relating to Females aged 35-54 would put total ownership of those combined Nokia's being far smaller than those with iPhone. Do you have data that disagrees with that? If so, I would be very interested to know.
Thanks, and keep up the great work, as it makes my job easier to convince clients about the use of mobile

As this blog grows in readership - and because it carries the Tesco brand - I have had to become more careful about the sort of comments that are acceptable. The good news is that I'm a champion of free speech so please be as praising or as critical as you wish! The only comments I DON'T allow through are:

1. Comments which criticise an individual other than myself, or are critical of an organisation other than Tesco. This is simply because they cannot defend themselves so is unfair and possibly libellous. Comments about some aspect of Tesco being better/worse than another equivalent organisation are allowed as long as you start by saying "in my personal opinion.." or "I think that...". ... followed by a "...because.." and some reasoned argument.

2. Comments which are totally unrelated to the context of the original article. If I have written about a mobile app and you start complaining about the price of potatoes then your comment isn't going stay for long!

3. Advertising / web links / spam.

4. Insulting / obscene messages.

Ok, rules done - now it's your go:
